Yeah, I just said that!
In this episode we discuss the importance of deepening your understanding of what makes a great mix and some methods to help with that.
We also talk about the futility of some of the questions I hear people asking.

Great episode, Dezz. I couldn’t agree more. As a sidenote; the songs of mine which over the years have had impact on listeners, very often surprising to me, have been those I’ve managed to make more emotionally than tecnically strong. Now, in the middle of your mix course and hearing great stuff like this episode; I am hoping to learn what it was I accidentally did with those tracks. Perhaps I can do soon what was more often than not just chance. For me, it’s now more about using what I learn to harness and organize what I’ve always done by gut: emotionalize. (Not sure if that’s a real word, but it works for me. 🙂 ) I don’t know if that makes sense or not, but what you say hits home with me. Thanks for a great podcast, and a great course.

Laters,, dude.,,

Can’t really go wrong, eh?
@TechMuze And yes, I’m having problems with the liveFyer. I’m getting the hang of it though. One of these days I might actually get it right.
😀 So true. Oh, and thanks for the HRS shoutout Dezz. That was really weird. LOL. something went belly up with the commenting system but I did email Ryan what I commented. If you thought I was weird before. LMAO.
This really is a brilliant podcast! I started a audio engineering course in Amsterdam, and this is a really a great addition on what we are learning now! Is there a slight reverb on your voice talking in this podcast ?
@vega687Â There is a tiny amount of verb on my voice. Good ear!
Just wanted to throw this in here…if you ever accidentally wipe your hard drive like Dezz’ poor friend did (and ironically it can happen while trying to get your backup hard drive prepared), don’t panic TOO bad. I’ve done the exact same thing and was able to get about 90% of my files recovered using free utilities like GetDataBack. It only gets expensive when you’re talking about recovering data from a physically damaged hard drive.
